Holy Spirit, we welcome You.
Holy Spirit, we welcome You
Move among us with holy fire
As we lay aside all earthly desire,
Hands reach out and our hearts aspire
Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit,
Holy Spirit, we welcome You.
Verse 2
Holy Spirit, we welcome You

Exodus 3: 1-12, 2Kings 1:1-14, 1Kings 18:31-46, Acts 2
Fire is a chemical reaction that gives off light and heat. It is an example of the chemical process of oxidation. Oxidation is when a substance looses out some electrons.
But the Fire we are talking about today is the Fire of Holy Ghost Acts 1:8, to refine, to purge, purifies and to consume, to be witness and becoming what you are called to be Isaiah 60:22.
Let the Fire Fall can be;
A command - 2Kings 1:10 “If I am a man of God,” Elijah answered, “may fire come down from heaven and kill you and your men!” At once fire came down and killed the officer and his men.
A request/plea 1Kings 18:36-39 (An experience on Mount Camel) 36 At the hour of the afternoon sacrifice the prophet Elijah approached the altar and prayed, “O Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, prove now that you are the God of Israel and that I am your servant and have done all this at your command. 37 Answer me, Lord, answer me, so that this people will know that you, the Lord, are God and that you are bringing them back to yourself.”[b] 38 The Lord sent fire down, and it burned up the sacrifice, the wood, and the stones, scorched the earth and dried up the water in the trench. 39 When the people saw this, they threw themselves on the ground and exclaimed, “The Lord is God; the Lord alone is God!”
An advice - 1 John 3:2-3 (Amp, GNT) My dear friends, we are now God's children, but it is not yet clear what we shall become. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he really is. 3 And everyone who has this hope [confidently placed] in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure (holy, undefiled, guiltless).
2 Tim 2:21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things [which are dishonorable—disobedient, sinful], he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified [set apart for a special purpose and], useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.
What Fire does;
Fire burns up the impurities - 1 Cor 3:12-13; But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will be clearly shown [for what it is]; for the day [of judgment] will disclose it, because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality and character and worth of each person’s work).
Zach 13:9 “And I will test the third that survives and will purify them as silver is purified by fire. I will test them as gold is tested. Then they will pray to me, and I will answer them. I will tell them that they are my people, and they will confess that I am their God.”
As believers we are raw gold (ordinary vessels) the refinery fire brings out the hidden treasures in us, He take us through the fire, we survives it and become a vessel of noble purposes and whatever fire does, it does it irreversibly, it is possible when you’re drench by rain you get dried up but a spark of fire becomes wild and unstoppable.
Fire enables potential to become a reality – inside a wood there’s potential of fire when catch with fire it brings out that potentials - Luke 5:1-11, Acts 2:1-41
Fire doesn’t discriminates - it is whether whatever it get contact with becomes fire or reduce to smoke or ashes.
