Part 2

In the first part of this, Let the Fire Fall,  we discussed that it can be for a command, request or an advice – Exodus 3: 1-12, 2Kings 1:1-14, 1Kings 18:30-46, Acts 2 and when the Fire falls, it will burn out the impurities and enables the potentials to become a reality.

It is a journey

Is 60:22 The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the Lord; in its time I will do this swiftly.”

Rom 12:1-2 (msg)  So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

2Tim 2:19-22 19 Meanwhile, God’s firm foundation is as firm as ever, these sentences engraved on the stones:

god knows who belongs to him.
spurn evil, all you who name god as god.

20-21 In a well-furnished kitchen there are not only crystal goblets and silver platters, but waste cans and compost buckets—some containers used to serve fine meals, others to take out the garbage. Become the kind of container God can use to present any and every kind of gift to his guests for their blessing.

Zach 4:6 (msg) Then he said, “This is God’s Message to Zerubbabel: ‘You can’t force these things. They only come about through my Spirit,’ says God-of-the-Angel-Armies.

Beloveth, to achieve all these it can only be by the Spirit of God through the manifestation of His power which is the fire of the Holy Spirit in us, not by human ability, knowledge or understanding, to this respect, we need the Fire, the Fire must fall on us, but the Fire cannot fall on a ruin altar, an altar that has been broken down by the works of the flesh, such altar need to be repair to make ready for the fall.

1 Kings 18:30 “Then Elijah said to all the people “Come here to me.” They came to him, and he repaired the altar of the Lord, which was in ruins.”

Before Elijah called down the fire, he first repaired the altar of God in ruins, there’s a need for us to repair the altar (our hearts) in total wreckage.

Moses also took off his sandals in obedient before he can approached the presence of God – Ex 3:5

Fire of God cannot fall on an altar that devices wicked schemes, altar full of bitterness, disobedient, worries, hatred, rebellion, unforgiven spirit, rivalry, discord among brethren, arrogance, lying tongue, jealousy, envy etc  - Gal 5:19-21

There are also some things that can cause an altar to be in a ruin, like, poverty, lack, oppression, sickness, failure, bondage, home front challenges, all these brings about worries and an altar where these dwells cannot catch the fire of the Holy Ghost

When the Fire Fall on the altar that has all these kinds of wood (Lev 6:) cannot catch fire they will only result to smoke or ashes and become useless

Prayer Points

Ephesians 1:18 I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can see something of the future he has called you to share. I want you to realize that God has been made rich because we who are Christ’s have been given to him! 

• Lord, please flood my heart with your light that I may see the great ruin, the damage Mr Flesh (old man) had cause me.
• Lord by your mercy take hold of wreckage and put me back together again, to live, move and have my being in you – Acts 17:28
• Lord by your mercy put me back together from my ruins
• Help me to surrender myself to your repairs, do not allow me to struggle with you, help me to cooperate to your mending

Luke 9:23 Then he said to all, “Anyone who wants to follow me must put aside his own desires and conveniences and carry his cross with him every day and keep close to me!
